One person is dead after a crash with a cement truck on Columbus’ West Side.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash at 12:03 a.m. June 18 near the intersection of Frank Road and Hardy Parkway.
A Dodge Caravan was westbound on Frank Road and turned left in front of a Western Star concrete truck eastbound on the road, the sheriff’s office said. The concrete truck crashed into the van’s passenger side.
Medics took the Caravan driver to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center where they were pronounced dead at 12:44 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.
The concrete truck driver remained at the scene and was not injured. No passengers were riding in either vehicle.
