Browns draft target reveals thoughts on playing with Shedeur Sanders

As the excitement for the 2026 NFL Draft continues to grow, the Cleveland Browns and general manager Andrew Berry are preparing for any possible outcome during the highly anticipated event.

One name that has been rumored for the struggling organization is Alabama left tackle Kadyn Proctor, who is projected to be selected in the first round of the upcoming draft. And while it remains unclear as to what Cleveland could do in round one, Proctor made his case as to why a team should select him in the draft on Wednesday afternoon.

When asked by 92.3 The Fan about what he could bring to the table, Proctor emphasized his physicality on the offensive line.

“Just bringing physicality and toughness,” Proctor stated. “That’s what I pride myself on. I’m obviously going to be the bigger guy in the room, so just using my physical traits to go out there and provide for my team.”

In addition to his remarks about his playstyle, Proctor also mentioned that it would be a “blessing” to block for Browns’ quarterback Shedeur Sanders, or any team that is willing to take a shot on him in the draft.

“To block for Shedeur, that would definitely be a blessing for sure. It’d be a blessing to be on any team that takes a shot on me,” Proctor claimed.

Could the Browns select Proctor in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Proctor has had one of the most intriguing college careers out of all the prospects in the upcoming draft. After originally enrolling at Alabama in 2023, the young offensive tackle ultimately decided to transfer to Iowa in the following season. But after spending roughly four months with the Hawkeyes, Proctor once again entered the transfer portal and returned to Tuscaloosa to finish his college career.

Throughout his three years as the starting left tackle for the Crimson Tide, Proctor successfully displayed his elite athletic traits over the course of his 2,435 offensive snaps. Standing at a daunting 6-foot-7, 352 lbs., the former five-star recruit possesses a rare blend of size and speed, which allowed him to be a dominant offensive lineman for head coach Kalen DeBoer.

However, despite his incredible athleticism, Proctor is widely considered a raw prospect heading into the upcoming draft. When facing his peers in the 2026 NFL Draft last season, Proctor showed signs of struggles to maintain his anchor, while also lacking a motor for the entire contest. Depending on how Berry plans to attack the first round of the draft, Proctor could be the Browns’ answer to the left tackle position in 2026, which is currently held by 2023 fourth-round pick Dawand Jones.
