Browns' AFC North rival Aaron Rodgers makes shocking statement entering 2025 with Steelers

The Cleveland Browns are set to face off against quarterback Aaron Rodgers twice this season, now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers after inking a one-year deal earlier this month.

As always, the very public Rodgers went on his weekly trip to The Pat McAfee Show. He discussed his offseason, including his signing with the Steelers, and what his future holds beyond 2025. And it turns out that his future in football might just be coming to an end. Here is what the future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback had to say on his NFL career and when he might hang up his cleats:

“I’m pretty sure this is my last season, and that’s why we did the one-year deal… I’ve played twenty years and I’ve enjoyed it… There’s no better way to finish it than with Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers.”

Rodgers, now on his third team in four years after departing the Green Bay Packers for a two-year stint with the New York Jets, is seemingly looking to go out on top in Pittsburgh. How he pairs with offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and how the skill sets of wide receiver DK Metcalf and others align with the receivers that Rodgers has always found success with, is still a question that lingers, however.

We’ll see how 2025 pans out for the Steelers and Rodgers in what seems like the end of his career.
