As Scottie Scheffler celebrated his Memorial Tournament win, his 1-year-old son Bennett quietly reminded everyone that not all victories smell sweet.
Minutes after sealing the deal with a clutch putt June 1, Scheffler celebrated at the 18th with his wife Meredith. It wasn’t until the champion joyfully hoisted his son that spectators discovered little Bennett had left his own mark on the tournament.
To put it bluntly, the baby appeared to have a large poop stain on the back of his onesie. And while the episode was going viral on social media, for mom and dad, it was no big thing.
“It’ll happen,” the celebratory father was captured saying.
Scheffler’s win marks the second time in history a golfer has won consecutive Memorials, with Tiger Woods having won three in a row from 1999-2001.
The 2025 champion defended his Memorial title with a final-round, 2-under-par 70, finishing at 10 under for the tournament. Ben Griffin and Sepp Straka trailed behind at 6 and 5 under par, respectively.
From a dominant win to a diaper disaster — here’s how fans are reacting to the Scheffler blowout(s).
