Area Happenings: Fall Shop Hop, 'Silent Sky'

“Silent Sky,” 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday, Ashland University, Studio Theatre in the Center for the Arts. The production will feature the true story of 19th-century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Following Sunday’s performance, there will be a Women in Science panel discussion as part of AU’s College of Arts and Sciences’ Symposium Against Indifference series. This year’s theme is “Thinking About Intelligence: Human and Artificial.”

Fall Shop Hop, all day, Saturday, Downtown Wooster. Come and enjoy a beautiful fall day in Historic Downtown Wooster, filled shopping at some of your favorite local stores and eating at some of your favorite restaurants.

“Dyatlov Pass Incident,” 1 p.m. Saturday, Shreve Presbyterian Church, 343 N. Market St., Shreve. In final County Line Historical Society of Wayne/Holmes program of the season Adam Doc Fox, will look into one of the greatest cold cases.

Swiss Steak Dinner, 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Beach City American Legion Hall Post 549,125, 3rd Ave. NE. Drive-thru Carry-Out only. Meal includes three bean salad, applesauce, mashed potatoes/ homemade gravy, corn, bread and dessert for the cost of $14. Also now offering 3-bean salad by the quart $14.
