USA TODAY Network Ohio team of sportswriters has ranked the All-USA Ohio Top 25 girls soccer players for the 2026 preseason.
Using various measurements such as accolades, statistics, online rankings and some input from coaches, the high school sports writers and editors compiled a list of top returning players statewide. They voted on them by assigning points to their choices for the top 25 players. The following ranking reflects the cumulative point totals.
Please note: Club players or players who do not play for Ohio High School Athletic Association teams are not included for an apples-to-apples comparison. Also, 2025 All-American Nina Brandon of Anderson is out for the season or she would have been on this list.
Besides girls soccer, the team will release All-USA Ohio teams for boys soccer, volleyball and football.
No. 1 ‒ Kyla Brinton, Lake
Brinton was the Federal League Player of the Year in 2025, a Division II All-Ohio selection and a United Soccer All-Region selection. She scored 44 goals and had six assists last season and already owns Lake’s career record for most goals (79). The senior is an Ohio University recruit.
No. 2 ‒ Addy Zawaly, Mariemont
The senior led the Warriors to a 16-4 record with 20 goals and 11 assists last year. She has committed to the University of Wisconsin. The All-American was all-state and co-player of the year in the Cincinnati Hills League with Indian Hill’s Allie McCauley.
No. 3 ‒ Delaney Marshall, Chippewa
As a junior forward, Marshall led Chippewa to its second straight Division V state championship game and a 22-2 record. The DV All-Ohio selection had 41 goals and 17 assists last season.
No. 4 ‒ Parker Evans, Mason
The senior has committed to Iowa. The athletic defender helped a unit that allowed only 11 goals all season and posted 13 shutouts, going 13-4-2 and winning the Greater Miami Conference. She added five goals and four assists and was first-team All-Greater Miami Conference and first-team all-district.
No. 5 ‒ Ivy Miller, Granville
The senior forward is coming off another strong season, in which she finished with 33 goals and 12 assists while leading the Blue Aces (17-4-2, 9-0 Licking County League) to a Division III state semifinal. She was the district and Licking County League Player of the Year and first-team All-Ohio. Miller is a University of Charlotte commit.
No. 6 ‒ Hailey Fashinpaur, Revere
She plays for International Soccer Club and has made the rounds to top showcase events. She is in U.S. Soccer Youth groups and played with the 16U Women’s National Team this summer. She’s committed to Michigan State.
No. 7 ‒ Emma McTigue, Medina
The sophomore midfielder/forward is a returning All-American who converted from center back in travel ball (Cleveland Force SC ECNL). Despite starting her career as a defender in travel ball, her transition to an attacking role at Medina yielded instant results, making her one of the most feared offensive weapons in the state.
No. 8 ‒ Kara Buck, Seton
The Seton defense was nearly impenetrable in 2025, thanks to Buck’s play in goal. Buck allowed just nine goals all season, recording 133 saves at a 94% clip. The junior is a crucial returning piece from the Saints’ state finals run and was a first-team all-city selection.
No. 9 ‒ Lou Guidugli, Seton
The forward didn’t play for Seton in her sophomore or junior years but returns to the Saints as a University of Alabama commit, expected to be one of Cincinnati’s top players. According to topdrawersoccer.com, she played for her club team, Ohio Elite Soccer Academy, in ECNL action. As a freshman in 2023, she had nine goals and seven assists, helping the Saints make a run to the DI state semifinals.
No. 10 ‒ Allie McCauley, Indian Hill
The senior led the Braves to a 17-2-3 record and the Cincinnati Hills League title. She led a defense that allowed 11 goals and posted 15 shutouts. McCauley also scored five goals. The Wright State University commit was first-team all-state and CHL Co-Player of the Year.
No. 11 ‒ Taylor Hamilton, Mount Notre Dame
The forward/midfielder is back with the Cougars in her junior year after not playing for her high school as a sophomore. According to an opposing coach, she will be a top attacking player in the Girls Greater Catholic League and in Cincinnati in 2026. She is committed to the University of Missouri. She plays for CUP GA Gold.
No. 12 ‒ Cami Moore, Cambridge
Moore is coming off a sophomore season in which she rewrote OHSAA records with a nine-goal performance against Magnolia, followed by an eight-goal effort against Harrison Central. She finished the season with a school-record 47 goals, adding seven assists. Moore reeled in first-team all-district and all-conference honors. She also earned All-Ohio honors on the basketball court as a sophomore, averaging 17.3 points.
No. 13 ‒ Kaylee Morris, Bloom-Carroll
The defender played a major role in the Bulldogs’ success last season, anchoring a defense that allowed just 13 goals in 19 games while contributing offensively with nine goals and three assists. She was named first-team All-Ohio and all-district in Division III, along with Player of the Year in the Mid-State League-Buckeye.
No. 14 ‒ Abigayle Penote, Summit Country Day
The senior has committed to the University of Cincinnati. She helped Summit Country Day win the Division IV state title last year, scoring 10 goals with six assists as part of an attack with five players in double-figures in goals. She was an all-district selection.
No. 15 ‒ Madelyn Yost, Niles McKinley
The sweeper/defender/midfielder is a returning All-American committed to Kent State. She anchored the backline in a state tournament run and has been praised for defensive command and versatility.
No. 16 ‒ Blake Sobczak, Dublin Jerome
A junior forward and midfielder, Sobczak was a key to the Celtics’ success last season with 15 goals and five assists, earning Ohio Capital Conference-Cardinal Player of the Year, first-team All-Ohio and first-team all-district. Jerome (12-2-4) won a district title before losing to Olentangy Berlin in a regional semifinal, 2-1 in double overtime.
No. 17 ‒ Ava Bush, Ross
Selected in May to attend the U.S. Soccer Talent ID Center, she was a freshman last season, scoring 18 goals with 11 assists in just 15 games.
No. 18 ‒ Kellyn Miller, Medina
Miller comes back to the Medina pitch after playing for Internationals Soccer Club last season. Coach Jason Rutkowski plans to use the Kent State commit up top and as an attacking midfielder.
No. 19 ‒ Macy Mueller, Madeira
The senior midfielder was a big part of the team’s Division V state championship in 2025, helping Madeira post 16 shutouts while contributing two goals and five assists on offense. She was an all-state and all-region selection last year.
No. 20 ‒ Charli Murphy, Millersburg West Holmes
The forward/midfielder was the most prolific player in the Wayne/Holmes County area as a junior. Murphy scored an area-best 51 goals and added six assists as she earned Division IV All-Ohio honors.
No. 21 ‒ Hannah Gorman, Hudson
Gorman comes in as Addie Frank’s replacement in net but already has the accolades to make her one of the best in the area. She played her summer with the U16 Women’s National Team and played in international friendlies.
No. 22 ‒ Gianna James, Carrollton
James, a goalkeeper, was named to the All-Ohio Division III team last year.
No. 23 ‒ Reese Laaksonen, Delaware Hayes
The midfielder was a standout for the Pacers last fall, earning first-team All-Ohio and all-district recognition in Division I, along with first-team All-OCC-Capital. She finished with eight goals and five assists.
No. 24 ‒ Lexi Young, Copley
Young led Copley to a Division III district final. She led the team in scoring with 13 goals and eight assists and was part of 68% of Copley’s scoring output en route to being named All-Ohio. She has registered 17 goals and 17 assists in two seasons.
No. 25 ‒ Anna McGough, Big Walnut
The Golden Eagles’ standout senior forward was named first-team All-Ohio and all-district in Division II last fall, along with first-team All-OCC-Capital.
