They found love in a hopeless place, as Rihanna said.
The Cleveland Browns, who over the years have suffered defeat time and time again, finally have a happy ending.
Two Browns fans, DeSiree ‘FirstLady’ Wheeler and Charles ‘Brownspider’ Bevel Jr., fell in love during the team’s ups and downs, so much so that they officially tied the knot in the Muni Lot just before Game 1 of the season.
“I never know what to say, thank you to everyone this is an honor,” Bevel said.
Hundreds of fans joined in on the wedding festivities, shouting and cheering the couple on during their ceremony. Chants broke out such as ‘Here we go Browns’ and a bunch of dog barking noises.
“I love this so much, they are making history,” said Sabrina Ledger, a Browns fans and Cleveland native attending the wedding.
Former Browns receiver Webster Slaughter and ‘Cleveland Batman’ officiated the wedding.
The newlyweds were surprised by the Browns and were given tickets to the Bengals game.
A true love story
Wheeler and Bevel Jr. have been together since 2024 but have always been around each other without them knowing. It’s something like the invisible string theory.
The invisible string theory, according to People Magazine, is based on the idea that people can share a special connection throughout their lives, even before they end up together.
So, for the couple they’ve been at the same place, same time, crossing paths without them realizing they where meant for each other.
Their website, munilotwedding2025.com, shows a fun detailed timeline of their relationship.
In 2019 on Sept. 8 Brownspider and FirstLady attended the Browns game against the Tennessee Titans. They were not together yet of course but it’s the start of their series of pictures of being at the games without meeting each other.
In January of 2021 they were both at Arrowhead Stadium in Kanas City sitting on the opposite corners of each other.
There was countless of times where the couple were not only just in Cleveland for games but they were in Miami, Detroit and even traveling to Indianapolis.
But their romance didn’t start until Jan. 12 2024. From there the two have tailgated and traveled ever since, rarely missing a Browns games.
FirstLady even traveled to Liberia to meet Brownspider’s mother on Feb. 16 of this year.
The newley weds have a gift registry if you would like support the couple.
