The Cincinnati Open, one of the biggest tennis tournaments in the U.S., will soon be honored with a four-part docuseries.
The prestigious tennis tournament announced July 14 that “Cincinnati’s Open,” a new four-part docuseries about the “legacy, transformation and elite competition that define the tournament,” will premiere on Fox19 and Rock Entertainment Sports Group on Aug. 3.
The series, which shows “never-before-seen moments, emotional storylines and exclusive interviews with top players and tournament stakeholders,” will also be available to stream on YouTube, per a press release.
“Cincinnati’s Open” is produced by 1831 Media Network in partnership with Beemok Sports & Entertainment.
“The Cincinnati Open has always been powered by the passion of this city and its fans,” Bob Moran, president of Beemok Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement. “This docuseries gives people a behind-the-scenes view of everything that makes this event special—from the history and emotion to the vision and effort behind its next great chapter.”
The top 65 players from the women’s and men’s tennis tours are set to compete at the Cincinnati Open, Aug. 5-18. Headlining the preliminary fields are the world’s No. 1 players, Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner. Both of the top-ranked players will defend their titles at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason.
