7 Brew plans Jackson Township location after restaurant demo

JACKSON TWP. ‒ The former Astoria Grill site has been demolished to make way for a new 7 Brew coffee stand.

Rick Nader, one of the principals of Motley 7 Brew, or M7B, said the growing company had been looking for a location in the Belden Village area for four years.

“We’re excited to be adding to the 7 Brew family with this newest location,” Nader said.

The property had previously been a Brown Derby restaurant. Astoria closed last month.

M7B was formed in January 2023 under the leadership of Nader, Tom Cook, Orangewood Investments and eight additional partners, with the goal of opening 350 7 Brew stands.

All 7 Brew locations feature double- or triple-lane drive-thru setups. The exception is a walk-through location on the campus at Ohio State University. M7B also owns 13 sister brands, including several Taco Bell restaurants.

The company currently operates three other 7 Brew locations in Stark County — in North Canton, Perry Township and Massillon — and plans are underway for another location in Alliance.

The Jackson Township stand at 4670 Everhard Road NW will be led by Alexis Ball, who was hired when the Massillon location opened and is currently working at the company’s Cuyahoga Falls location.

Nader said the company is excited to have Ball serve as stand leader.

“She really speaks to our philosophy of ‘lead people, manage things,’” he said.

Construction is underway, with the new location targeted to open in early October.
