Most recently, Montopoli worked in large-scale event operations for Major League Baseball, supporting high-profile national events and enhancing fan experiences across the country.

Previously, Montopoli led community outreach and corporate social responsibility programs at Davis Vision, building strong partnerships with nonprofits, schools and businesses.

“We are thrilled to have Amy as part of our team and are so glad she moved back to Corning,” Price said. “Her combination of professional expertise and deep personal connection to our community makes her a tremendous asset as we continue to elevate our downtown events, partnerships, and visitor experience.”

Montopoli said she is excited to return to the place she calls home.

“Corning, its history, arts, culture, and beauty, has always held a special place in my heart,” Montopoli said. “After relocating and returning home, I’m honored and excited to bring my experience back to support the community I love and to help continue its legacy as a vibrant, welcoming, and inspiring destination.”

Montopoli’s role will focus on executing dynamic public events that strengthen community partnerships, community vitality, and economic development.

Price said the goal of the Gaffer District Events department is to create exceptional experiences for residents and visitors alike.

The Gaffer District has a hand in many signature community events, such as the Summer in Downtown series and annual events and festivals like GlassFest, Crystal City Christmas and Harvest Festival.
