Four candidates will be elected to the Gates Chili Central School District Board of Education May 19.
Voting will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Spartan Field House, 1 Spartan Way, on the Gates Chili High School campus.
The three candidates with the largest number of votes will earn a three-year term from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. The candidate with the fourth-largest number of votes will earn a one-year term from May 19, 2026, to June 30, 2027.
Who’s running for Gates Chili school board?
Michelle Jennings
Jennings serves as the assistant director of Ambulatory Pediatrics at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
She has two children in the Gates Chili Central School District.
She is committed to strengthening partnerships between families, educators and the community and to helping ensure that every student has access to a supportive and enriching educational environment.
Adam Reinhardt
Reinhardt, who graduated from Gates Chili High School in 1998, is a speech-language pathologist in special education, working with students who use augmentative and alternative forms of communication.
He has two children — one enrolled in Gates Chili Middle School and one at Gates Chili High School.
Kathryn Davis
Davis, who graduated from Gates Chili High School in 1996, is a client support consultant.
She has two daughters, one who graduated from Gates Chili High School in 2024 and one who is a sophomore at the high school.
She has been on the Gates Chili school board since December 2022. During her first term, she served on various committees, helped revise and implement the district’s code of conduct and currently serves on the Long-Range Planning Study Advisory Committee.
Davis supports fiscal responsibility and equitable opportunities for all students.
Christina Carney
Carney is a student success project coordinator at EnCompass Resources for Learning, where she helps families navigating general and special education systems. She has also consulted with the Greater Rochester Parent Leadership Training Institute, Roc the Future Alliance and The Children’s Agenda.
She has three children in Gates Chili schools, in 10th, sixth and third grades.
She has volunteered in the district and is co-president of the Florence Brasser Family Association and co-founded Gates Chili Special Education Parent Teacher Organization.
She also volunteers at St. Pius X Church and serves on the Monroe County Local Early Intervention Coordinating Council and the Rochester Area Literacy Council. Additionally, she is a co-leader of Dyslexia Allies of WNY and has coached youth soccer.
Angela Stout
Stout works for the University of Rochester as a senior grants and contracts administrator.
She has two children who attend Gates Chili High School.
Stout has served on committees in the school district, including the Walt Disney Parent Teacher Organization and School Improvement Team, and she was recognized for that work with the Gates Chili Pride Award.
In addition to volunteering, she regularly attends district athletic and arts events.
She hopes to use her professional background, which involves managing funding and navigating complex regulations, to support the success of the Gates Chili School District.
