The New York Jets made edge defender David Bailey the No. 2 overall pick at the 2026 NFL Draft.
In being selected there, Bailey was the first defensive player drafted in the entire class. Naturally, that gives him strong odds to win the NFL’s 2026 Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.
If Bailey did end up bringing that honor back to New York it would be the first time the team has won it since 2022. That year cornerback Sauce Gardner took home the honor.
