Vote for the Varsity 845 football players of the week for Sept. 4-6

The Varsity 845 football players of the week polls are online for Sept. 4-6. There will be voting in the large- and small-school divisions.

Information was utilized on reports gathered by Varsity 845. Coaches are encouraged to provide their game reports in order for athletes to be chosen; they may also nominate one player from their team by Sunday afternoon.

Winners of each weekly contest will be ineligible for the ensuing two weeks.

Go to RecordOnline.com/sports/high-school and vote as often as you like until Saturday, Sept. 13, at 11 p.m. The winners will be announced each week on the @Varsity845 account on X/Twitter.

Varsity 845 football player of the week (large)

Jaiseon Barnwell, Newburgh

He completed 12 of 17 throws for 213 yards and five touchdowns as the Goldbacks beat McQuaid 53-7 on Sept. 6.

Michael Cooper, Cornwall

He posted 10 tackles as the Dragons beat Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 10-3 on Sept. 5.

Robert LaBarbera, Minisink Valley

He had 11 carries for 182 yards and two scores and was 10-for-13 for 128 yards and TD throws in the Warriors’ 48-24 win over Suffern on Sept. 5.

Danny Lupkovich, Warwick

He threw four touchdown passes as the Wildcats beat Wagner 29-14 on Sept. 5.

Ethan Maldonado, Monroe-Woodbury

He ran eight times for 155 yards, scoring on runs of 43 and 54 yards; he also completed 3 of 11 throws for 24 yards as the Crusaders bowed to Saratoga Springs 20-17 on Sept. 6.

Liam O’Gara, Goshen

He rushed for 139 yards as the Gladiators fell to Port Jervis 48-13 on Sept. 5.

Travis Purvis, Kingston

He was 14-for-21 for 160 yards and one score as the Tigers bowed to Nyack 20-19 on Sept. 5.

Brennan Tesseyman, Washingtonville

He threw a pair of touchdown passes as the Wizards beat Valley Central 26-13 on Sept. 5.

Keegan Arbogast, James I. O’Neill

He had eight tackles as the Raiders bowed to Haldane 14-7 on Sept. 6.

Jackson Barcone, Rondout Valley

Jackson Barcone (4-for-4, 154 yards; 5 carries, 51 yards) ran for three scores (32, 5, 14 yards) and threw two TD passes as the Ganders beat Monticello 53-0 on Sept. 6.

Nick Drewnowski, New Paltz

He posted eight tackles, ran for a 2-yard score and threw for 122 yards as the Huguenots fell to Dover 43-15 on Sept. 5.

Nicholas Forzano, Highland

He threw a pair of TD passes as the Huskies fell to Beacon 28-19 on Sept. 5.

Dylan Fox, Port Jervis

He was 15-for-22 for 206 yards and one TD throw, and added 17 carries for 151 yards and four scores as the Raiders downed Goshen 48-13 on Sept. 5.

Michael Gramoglia, Saugerties

He threw for 136 yards and two scores as the Sawyers beat Wallkill 20-14 on Sept. 5.

Koen McGill, Eldred

He completed eight of 16 throws for 145 yards and two scores, and added 14 carries for 159 yards and three TDs as the Yellowjackets downed Ellenville 34-0 on Sept. 6.
