The New York state Department of Transportation recently announced lane closures reductions in Gates.
To accommodate bridge maintenance, there will be closures from the left lane and shoulder on the I-390 south ramp to I-490 east in Gates. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.
Drivers should anticipate travel delays during this time and are advised to seek alternate routes if necessary. Construction activities are weather dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
The DOT urges drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones.
