Cherry trees were blooming throughout Rockland and Westchester on a recent spring day filled with billowing clouds and a deep blue sky.
There are many trees planted on the grounds of The Sisters of Saint Dominic of Blauvelt and Dominican University in Orangeburg. Throughout Yonkers, there are parks and streets lined with the flowering trees.
“Each spring, these blossoms remind us of the beauty and renewal that define Yonkers,” Mayor Mike Spano said in a news release. “As we continue to invest in our parks and green spaces, we’re not only enhancing our neighborhoods but creating moments for residents and visitors alike to gather, reflect, and celebrate the season. Our growing cherry tree canopy is something the entire City can take pride in.”
We are rivers, woods, mountains. Skyscrapers, sidewalks. Traffic. Solitude. A vibe. Cities, towns, villages, hamlets. Here, our photographers train their craft on what makes this place our place.
