A Rochester woman has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy she allegedly met through the Tinder dating app, according to New York State Police.

Police: Pair met through Tinder
State police said Tasha B. Evans, 40, of Rochester, communicated with the 15-year-old through Tinder before the two arranged to meet in person.
The investigation began in October 2025 after troopers received a referral from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services regarding an alleged sexual encounter that occurred Sept. 30, 2025.
During the months-long investigation, troopers executed search warrants, seized electronic devices for forensic examination and conducted multiple interviews. Investigators said they obtained evidence that corroborated the teen’s account.
Rochester woman faces two felony charges
Evans was arrested Friday, July 24, and charged with:
She was processed and transported to CAP Court for arraignment.
