The Village of Pleasantville said all schools in the Pleasantville Union Free School District have extended an earlier delay by an hour Wednesday, Dec. 10 as police search for a suspect in an alleged domestic incident.
The village posted an alert to its Facebook page Wednesday around 7:15 a.m., announcing a 2-hour delay throughout the district due to “police activity.” An alert had also been posted to the Pleasantville School District website.
By 9:15 a.m., the school district had extended the delay by an additional hour to allow the police investigation to continue.
Police believe there is ‘no evidence’ suspect has access to firearms

No other information about the suspect or the nature of the incident has been released by Pleasantville Police Department as of 9:45 a.m.
