Buffalo Bills center Connor McGovern approaches next season as a highly regarded player at the position in the NFL.
Pro Football Focus ranked McGovern No. 7 overall in their assessment of the top 32 centers in the league ahead of the 2026 season.
“Consistency and dependability are undervalued traits in the NFL,” PFF’s Mason Cameron said. “McGovern personifies both, having recorded over 2,300 snaps over the past two seasons, raising his ceiling each year. This past season, McGovern earned a career-best 71.0 overall PFF grade — highlighted by his ability to stand up on true pass sets, where he produced the fifth-highest PFF pass-blocking grade (72.8) among centers.”
McGovern did not allow a single sack in 2025 and only allowed 14 total pressures on the year. He was given a pass-blocking grade of 73.4 from Pro Football Focus last season, which was the sixth-highest overall grade among all centers in the league last season.
McGovern will have the upcoming season to elevate his profile further at the position.
Leading the way on PFF’s list of the league’s best centers are Tyler Linderbaum (Raiders), Aaron Brewer (Dolphins) and Creed Humphrey (Chiefs) at the No. 1 position, respectively.
