New York Jets at New England Patriots: 3 potential X-factors on offense for 'TNF' Week 11

The New York Jets benefited greatly from two special teams touchdowns in their unlikely Week 10 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

The offense will need to be considerably better against the New England Patriots (8-2) on “Thursday Night Football” in Week 11.

Jets quartsterback Justin Fields finished with 54 passing yards, including a 42-yard TD to Breece Hall that was thrown behind the line of scrimmage against Cleveland.

Jets Wire has identified three potential X-factors for the Jets (2-7) offense heading into Thursday’s primetime showdown with the Patriots.

Breece Hall, RB

Hall accounted for 125 yards of offense and a touchdown versus the Browns. He was the focal point of Tanner Engstrand’s unit. Hall will need another super-productive showing against a stout Patriots defense if the Jets are to execute the primetime upset as multi-score underdogs.

John Metchie III, WR

Recently acquired wide receiver John Metchie III had one reception for three receiving yards in his debut. Metchie only played eight offensive snaps, but with Garrett Wilson once again sidelined by injury, the Jets will probably ramp up his role on Thursday.

Olu Fashanu, OT

Olu Fashanu totally shut down Myles Garrett. The Patriots’ edge rushers, K’Lavon Chaisson and Harold Landry III, have combined to register 12.0 sacks this season. It’ll take another strong performance from Fashanu to help keep Fields upright in the pocket.
