A new liquor and wine store is expected to open soon at a long vacant storefront in the Gang Mills Walmart Plaza.
Erwin Liquors & Wines is scheduled to open by the end of June, said Kristen Brewer, Town of Erwin Director of Planning and Economic Development.
An “opening soon” sign currently hanging in the storefront’s window teases its imminent arrival.
Filling an empty storefront with the addition of a new business off Silverback Lane will be a great addition to the Plaza, said Brewer.
“Stock is expected to arrive at Erwin Liquors & Wines sometime next week,” Brewer said. “I think absolutely anything that’s going to bring more feet into the Plaza area where the retail stores are located is great. People usually don’t just stop at one store; they stop at many. So, we love that, and we are so excited about any new development.”
The owner of Erwin Liquors & Wines, Rasik Gaden, could not be reached for comment.
