Section III Class B playoff

Junior Sam Bono scored a varsity career-high four goals and also had an assist for Clinton. Luca Pavone scored twice, Jack Bono and Logan Freund each scored a goal, and Sam Hepler and Andrew Bashant each made two saves in the Comets’ fourth shutout of the season.

Next Up: No. 6 Clinton plays a quarterfinal match at No. 3 Cazenovia October 24.

Records: Solvay 7-9-1; Clinton 11-3-2.

Section III Class B playoff

Eric Holstein and Mariusz Sabotka each scored two goals for Westhill which had lost and tied its two previous matches.

Next Up: No. 1 Westhill plays a quarterfinal match at home against No. 8 Holland Patent, a 2-0 winner Tuesday over the Utica Academy of Science..

Records: Sherburne-Earlville 4-14-0; Westhill 12-1-2.

Section III Class C playoff

Beckett Grady scored two goals for Cooperstown and Henry Ayers scored one. Cooperstown matched a season high with its fourth consecutive victory.

Next Up: No. 5 Cooperstown plays a quarterfinal match at No. 4 Westmoreland/Oriskany October 24. The teams played to a 1-1 draw at Westmoreland in September, and Westmoreland/Oriskany won 2-0 in Cooperstown October 6; Friday’s match will be played on Westmoreland’s new turf stadium field.

Records: Syracuse Academy of Science 2-11-0; Cooperstown 11-4-2.

Section III Class C playoff

Julian Shay scored three goals and assisted on two for Tully, Tommy Santurri scored two goals, and Damon Danega and Sean Mize each scored once. Wilmer Macario scored in the second half for Waterville.

Next Up: No. 6 Tully plays a quarterfinal match at No. 3 Frankfort-Schuyler October 25.

Records: Waterville 2-14-1; Tully 10-7-0.

Section III Class C playoff

Adam Fountain was credited with scoring the golden goal in the 93rd minute of play for Herkimer; Fountain and Brian Lindsay had scored goals in the first half and Justin Lamphere was credited with one in the second half. Owen Jones was credited with scoring all three Mt. Markham goals. The teams were tied at 2 at halftime and 3 at the end of regulation. Herkimer had won 3-2 at Mt. Mt. Markham and 3-0 at home when the teams met during the regular season.

Next Up: No. 7 Herkimer plays an October 24 quarterfinal match at No. 2 Manlius-Pebble Hill.

Section III Class C playoff

Zxylan Them scored both goals for Thousand Islands during the second half of regulation after Sauquoit Valley had taken a 2-0 halftime lead on goals scored by Vitaliy Chmukh and Jason Mroz.

Next Up: No. 9 Thousand Islands travels to Syracuse October 24 for a quarterfinal match against No. 1 Bishop Ludden-Grimes.

Records: Thousand Islands 10-4-3; Sauquoit Valley 6-10-1.

Section III Class C playoff

Damir Vauruk scored three goals, Brody Anderson had two goals and two assists, Daniel Kosakowski had one goal and two assists, Tayton Kimball and Tyler Tamburino each scored a goal, and Dawson Foss made one save in the 11th shutout of the season for Westmoreland/Oriskany.

Next Up: No. 4 Westmoreland/Oriskany hosts a third meeting this season with No. 5 Cooperstown for the quarterfinals.

Records: Sandy Creek 3-12-0; Westmoreland/Oriskany 14-2-1.

Section III Class D playoff

Gavin Hames had two goals and one assist, Sawyer Latella also scored two goals, Brody Houck, Tyler Kowalski, Matthias Page-Fagon, Jack Penoyer, Brayden Pretre and Ezra Stahlburg each scored once, and Elijah Meyers made one save in the team’s seventh shutout of the season.

Next Up: No. 1 Hamilton plays a quarterfinal match at home October 24 against No. 9 Belleville-Henderson, a 1-0 winner over Sackets Harbor Wednesday.

Records: Alexandria 4-14-0; Hamilton 15-2-0.

Section III Class D playoff

Senior Nathan Fullem, Section III’s leading goal-scorer this season, netted No. 34 and 35, and Elijah Joines had one goal and one assist.

Next Up: No. 3 Poland plays at home again in the quarterfinals against No. 6 Faith Heritage of Syracuse.

Records: LaFargeville 6-11-0; Poland 13-4-0.

Section III Class D playoff

Logan Moffitt scored all three McGraw goals, one before halftime and two after. Chase Langworthy and Ethan Quinn scored in the second half for the Town of Webb.

Next Up: No. 4 McGraw hosts a quarterfinal match October 24 against No. 12 Cincinnatus, a 1-0 winner at No. 5 Lyme Wednesday, McGraw defeated Cincinnatus 2-1 and 1-0 in a one-week span in September.

Section II Class B playoff

Tazio Helmig had one goal and two assists for Schuylerville which won for the eighth time in its last nine matches. Trent Lozier made 10 saves for Canajoharie/Fort Plain.

Next Up: No. 2 Schuylerville hosts an October 24 quarterfinal match against No. 7 Broadalbin-Perth, a 4-0 winner Wednesday over Hoosick Falls.

Cooper Bibighaus scored the first goal and assisted on the other two for Loudonville Christian. :ogan Snell made six saves for Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville.

Next Up: No. 5 Loudonville Christian plays an October 27 quarterfinal match against the winner of an October 23 march, either at No. 4 Waterford-Halfmoon or at home against No. 13 Schoharie.

Maya Michaud and Jane Razza scored for Liverpool in its third consecutive victory.

Sophomore Jenna Hillage-Scribner scored a career-high four goals for Clinton, Katie Randall had two goals and three assists, Molly Randall scored two goals, and Leah Randall scored one goal.

Next Up: No. 3 Clinton meets No. 2 Morrisville-Eaton in an October 27 semifinal at Camden High School. Clinton has won four consecutive games and eight of 10 since a Sept. 18 loss to Morrisville-Eaton.

Kayla Flask scored both Weedsport goals.

Next Up: No. 4 Weedsport plays No. 1 Little Falls in an October 27 semifinal at Camden High School.

Xavier Pawlkowski scored two goals and Phillip Sidorevich scored one for Whitesboro, and Tyler Quackenbush made four saves in the team’s fourth shutout of the season.

Next Up: No. 5 Whitesboro plays a quarterfinal match at No. 4 West Genesee Friday.

Records: Henninger 2-15-0; Whitesboro 10-5-1.

Section III Class A playoff

Carter Metott scored four goals for the second time this season, twin brother Casey Metott had one goal and four assists, Jackson Kenyon had one and one, and Logan Kubecka scored one goal for Central Valley Academy. Aidan Small scored both Homer goals, the first one on a penalty kick.

Next Up: No. 6 Central Valley Academy play an October 24 quarterfinal match at No. 3 South Jefferson.

Section III Class A playoff

George Hicks scored a goal assisted by goalkeeper Nico Lavesa-Cesana in the second overtime period and Vernon-Verona-Sherrill by one goal for the third time this season. Lavesa-Cesana made seven saves in the shutout.

Next Up: No. 7 Vernon-Verona-Sherrill plays an October 24 quarterfinal match at No. 2 Jamesville-DeWitt.

Eli Royer and Chase Shepard each scored two goals for Cazenovia, Eliot Comeau and Sebastain Gebers each scored one, and Jack Casey made five saves in the shutout.

Etan Sanderson scored for Canastota with an assist from Ryan Savicki.

Alex Swenson scored a goal assisted by Alex Lisnyczyj in the first half for Marcellus. Marcellus goalie Jack Waterman made three saves in the shutout, and Jason Grabinski stopped six shots for Little Falls.

Next Up: No. 5 Marcellus plays a quarterfinal match at No. 4 Lowville Academy Thursday.
