More than two decades of music and charity will continue this summer when the Fairport Music Festival kicks off on Aug. 22.
The festival lineup is expansive — more than 60 bands will take to stages around the village over two days and two nights. The proceeds go to a good cause: the festival has raised more than $2.9 million for Golisano Children’s Hospital, specifically non-budgeted needs like playrooms, private patient rooms and dialysis machines.
In 2024, the festival raised $311,823 for the children’s hospital.
How to attend the Fairport Music Festival
Tickets for the festival cover both days, Aug. 22 and 23, and cost $30. Children aged 12 and under attend free. You can purchase them ahead of time at fairportmusicfestival.com/tickets.
Another way to gain access to the event is to volunteer, which comes with free admission and a T-shirt. Anyone volunteering can email fmffvolunteers@gmail.com.
What can I bring to the Fairport Music Festival?
You can bring a lawn chair or blanket to the festival, with most venues are located in parking-lot type areas with grass turf covering parts of it.
Attendees are asked to not bring coolers, as food and beverages are available for purchase. There are also several Fairport restaurants nearby and open during the festival.
Where can I park for the festival?
There is parking in two large lots on the south side of the Erie Canal across from the festival. There are other free public parking lots in the village.
A continuous shuttle service will loop between Minerva Deland School and the intersection of Lift Bridge Lane and Main Street. The shuttle will operate 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Aug. 22 and noon to 11 p.m. on Aug. 23.
