F.F. Thompson Hospital locked down after reported 'active threat'

F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua has restricted access to its medical campus due to an “active threat” Thursday morning.

Authorities did not outline the details of the threat, other than to say there is an “active threat to the exterior of the facility,” hospital officials announced on its website and social media. Thompson Health and law enforcement are working together to “determine the validity of the threat,” hospital officials said.

Can I access the hospital, medical campus?

Access to the campus is restricted to associates only who will be screened as they enter the property, according to Thompson Health. Overnight associates will be cleared to leave once employees who will replace them for the next shift clear screening.
