Everything you need to know about 2026 Strawberry Festival in Owego

The Town of Owego will be hosting its 44th annual Strawberry Festival June 18-20.

Hosted by the Historic Owego Marketplace, the beloved festival combines an abundance of activities, live entertainment and local vendors to ensure three days full of fun for the whole family.

In 2026, the festival will feature hundreds of craft and food vendors, more than 20 bands across four stages and children’s activities for all ages, according to the Historic Owego Marketplace website.

Here’s everything you need to know about the 2026 Strawberry Festival.

Owego Strawberry Festival: Thursday, June 18

The festival will begin with a Rock-n-Run 5K on June 18 at Hickories Park.

Registration for the 5K starts at 4:30 p.m. The children’s fun run, for ages 12 and under, begins at 5:15 p.m. and the 5K race begins at 6 p.m.

Pre-registration for the race is closed, but those still interested in participating in the race can sign up in person the day of the race.

Owego Strawberry Festival: Friday, June 19

The festival’s block party will be held from 5-10 p.m. on June 19. The evening will feature an abundance of live music and entertainment, including a juggler, magician and a silent disco.

The wine and beer tasting tent, located in the Courthouse Square, will be open from 5-9 p.m., with last call being at 8:45 p.m. Tickets for the tasting tent are $5 for five tickets.

The evening will end with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Draper Park.

Owego Strawberry Festival: Saturday, June 20

The festival will be going on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 20, with a parade to kick off the day at 9:30 a.m.

The remainder of the day will again be filled with local vendors and live entertainment, including various bands, a drumline, magic and juggling.

The tasting tent will be open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Parking at the Owego Strawberry Festival

On June 19, free parking is available at Marvin Park (Tioga County Fairgrounds, state Route 17C West, Main Street, across from Price Chopper). Shuttles are not available on June 19.

On June 20, downtown Owego is closed to traffic beginning early in the morning and throughout the duration of the festival. Closures include North Avenue, the adjoining portion of Main, Lake, Church, Front and Court streets.

Parking, shuttles and handicap shuttles will be offered all day June 20 at Hickories Park, the Grand Union parking lot and Marvin Park. Shuttles cost $8 per car and begin at 8 a.m.
