A 29-year-old Brockport man was killed early Friday morning when his vehicle crashed into a gas station on West Ridge Road in Greece, according to police.
The victim has been identified as Joseph Gobble, 29, of Brockport.
According to Greece police, the crash happened shortly after 3 a.m. at the Kwik Fill gas station at 3400 W. Ridge Road. Investigators said the vehicle struck multiple fuel pumps and support pillars beneath the station’s canopy before coming to rest against a concrete support pole.
Gobble, who was the only person inside the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Police said the vehicle was heavily damaged and the crash caused significant damage to several gas pumps and the canopy structure.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The gas station is located at the northwest corner of West Ridge Road and North Avenue.
