Cornwall senior catcher Rich Roohan was named the Class AA co-player of the year to lead all-stars from the Mid-Hudson chosen by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
Section 9 schools accounted for 41 stars across Classes AAA, AA, A, B, C and D (based on enrollment numbers), and Dutchess County schools in Section 1 earned four nods.
Chester Academy won the Class B title in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association tournament. Cornwall bowed in the Class AA state finals. Monroe-Woodbury fell in the Class AAA semifinals, as did Marlboro in the Class A semifinals.
