Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal shooting June 10 in northeastern Bradford County as a Towanda girl, and are investigating circumstances of her death.
The Bradford County Coroner’s Office said Destiny Skye Gross, 14, of Towanda, was killed on that date by a shotgun blast to the chest. The shooting took place at an undisclosed location in Windham Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda.
The coroner’s office also ruled the manner of death as homicide.
State police say the investigation into the shooting is continuing, no arrests have been made, and they reiterated there is no threat to the public.
State police are not releasing any additional information about the incident at this time.
Destiny was born in Sayre and attended Towanda High School, according to her obituary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cheerleading, and the outdoors, including hunting and fishing, her obituary said.
