The Buffalo Bills have hit the field for their first workouts early this offseason with voluntary OTAs.
The Bills have most players in attendance and the spring practices are not the heaviest of football workouts. But it’s still some football… and there will be some players worth keeping an eye out for.
With that, here are Bills Wire’s four players to watch for during 2026 OTAs:
WR DJ Moore
Moore is essentially the easiest name to pick out and the name on top of most lists. The Bills traded for Moore this offseason and he is expected to jump right into a big role on offense.
How does his early chemistry with quarterback Josh Allen look?
WR Skyler Bell
Bell was a fourth-round pick of the Bills at the 2026 draft. While not the first rookie drafted by the team, he has the most excitement and curiosity surrounding him. His position likely plays a part, but so does the reported potential Bell comes with.
Does Bell get tossed in the deep end early on offense? Or just eased in?
CB Maxwell Hairston
Hairston had challenges from veteran Tre’Davious White as a rookie in 2025 that he failed to meet. His preseason injury did not help.
Entering Year 2, Hairston is expected to walk into a starting job at cornerback. Second-round rookie Davison Igbinosun is a new challenge this offseason he should win. Does he take a stranglehold early at OTAs?
S CJ Gardner-Johnson
Cole Bishop is the only locked in starting safety on the Bills defense under the watch of new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard. Is Gardner-Johnson the leading candidate for the other out of the gate at OTAs?
