With the No. 10 pick in the 2026 NFL draft, the New York Giants selected University of Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa.
The 6-foot-5, 329-pound offensive tackle had been linked to the Giants with increasing frequency as the draft approached. Mauigoa is a three-year starter at Miami and played a key role in the Hurricanes’ success, helping lead them to a national championship appearance this past season.
Mauigoa earned consensus All-American honors and First Team All-ACC recognition in 2025. He was also awarded the Jacobs Blocking Trophy, given annually to the ACC’s top offensive lineman.
Although the Giants have strong starters at tackle in Andrew Thomas and Jermaine Eluemunor, they are expected to move Mauigoa to the interior of the offensive line in the near term. Over time, however, he could develop into the team’s long-term solution at one of the tackle positions.
The addition of Mauigoa should bolster an already strong running game while providing better protection for the Giants’ most valuable asset: Quarterback Jaxson Dart, entering his second season.
The Giants have been working to upgrade their offensive line for years and have made noticeable progress in recent seasons. With a new regime in place and a potential franchise quarterback on the roster, the team is clearly prioritizing continued improvement along the line.
