The New York Jets are on the move again at the 2026 NFL Draft.
This time in the opposite direction.
On Day 2 of the 2026 draft, New York decided to jump back on the board. The Jets moved down from the No. 44 selection to No. 50 in a trade with the Detroit Lions:
The trade with the Lions comes down after the Jets decided to move back up at the end of the first round. In the first deal with the San Francisco 49ers, the Jets acquired the 30th overall pick (Omar Cooper Jr.) from the 49ers in exchange for the 33rd (second round) and 179th (fifth round) overall picks.
After losing the fifth rounder in the 49ers trade, the Jets get some of their draft capital back by getting the fourth rounder back from the Lions as well.
Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 NFL Draft.
