After a full recovery from her injury-plagued 2025 WNBA season, Caitlin Clark steps back onto the court as star-studded Team USA begin the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament on March 11 against Senegal from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Team USA has already earned its berth in the 2026 World Cup in Berlin, Germany, in September. It secured that spot by claiming gold at the 2025 Americas Tournament. Other teams that have already booked their spots in Berlin are Australia (2025 Oceania gold medalist), Belgium (2025 Europe gold medalist), Nigeria (2025 Africa gold medalist) and host-nation Germany.
Clark and her American teammates will use the qualifying tournament as a tuneup for September against some of the world’s best basketball players.
