Weather outlook for Iowa football vs. Oregon Ducks calls for wind, cold, rain

When the Oregon Ducks come to town this weekend to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes, the weather knows exactly what time of the year it is in the Big Ten. The forecast is rapidly turning into classic Big Ten weather now that the calendar has flipped to November.

With kickoff at 2:30 p.m. CT, the sun will be setting as this Big Ten tilt enters the second half and into the fourth quarter. The sun will be setting at 4:52 p.m. CT and casting a dark night sky over Kinnick Stadium.

According to the latest forecast from the Weather Channel, the current outlook calls for a high of just 51 degrees during the day with a 77% chance of rain that becomes steady in the afternoon with wind whipping at 10-15 miles per hour. The AccuWeather RealFeel is calling for things to feel like just 43 degrees during the afternoon.

The temperature will only continue to drop throughout the game as the nighttime low is calling for 29 degrees with a chance of a rain and snow mix at night, which could impact the later parts of this game. According to AccuWeather’s RealFeel, the evening will feel as low as 23 degrees due to wind and rain.

Kickoff for Iowa versus Oregon is set for 2:30 p.m. from Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa, and will be airing on CBS.
