Nebraska is named one of the country’s best states in newly released rankings by U.S. News & World Report, earning high marks for its infrastructure and fiscal stability.
To rank the states, U.S. News & World Report used 71 metrics across eight broad categories: crime and corrections, economy, education, fiscal stability, health care, infrastructure, natural environment and opportunity.
Those categories were weighted based on three years of data from national surveys that asked thousands of people to prioritize different issues in their state.
