The joyful harmonies of barbershop-style music will ring through the halls of the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, as Metro Mix Chorus presents “Freedom in Song” in conjunction with the Cedar Rapids Freedom Fest. Several other local performers will offer wonderful entertainment to the Cedar Rapids area. The performance promises an evening of uplifting music, featuring an eclectic repertoire that spans genres and generations from classic barbershop standards to contemporary pop and heartfelt ballads.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of a cappella music or simply looking for a fun and inspiring evening out, this is a musical event you won’t want to miss.
This is a free performance; no tickets are needed. Donations are appreciated and will be used to underwrite costs associated with our performance at Sweet Adelines International Competition in Columbus this fall.
