Iowa football holds off Vanderbilt for ReliaQuest Bowl win: Final Score, Recap

After a 33-day wait since the Hawkeyes last took the field, No. 23 Iowa football (9-4, 6-3 Big Ten) defeated Vanderbilt (10-3, 6-2 SEC) by a score of 34-27 in the ReliaQuest Bowl from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, to cap off a memorable 2025 campaign.

Iowa gained 379 yards of offense on the day (212 passing, 167 rushing), with Gronowski throwing for two touchdowns on 16-for-22 completions with a lone interception. On the ground, Kamari Moulton led the way with 95 yards and a score on 14 carries.

Defensively, Iowa not only delivered hard hits on every tackle. While Iowa did not get a takeaway, it held Diego Pavia in check by recording four sacks on the day.

After all the hype that surrounded the Heisman Trophy finalist and the Commodores, Iowa’s defensively sound and dominant offensive line proved to be superior.
