IOWA CITY — Class of 2026 receiver Xavier Stinson has committed to Iowa football.
Stinson, who attends Vero Beach High School in Florida, is a 3-star wide receiver, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is also ranked 637th nationally in the 2026 recruiting class.
Stinson is listed at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds.
As a junior, Stinson recorded 43 receptions for 740 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. His senior season is still underway as Vero Beach is in the state playoffs. But so far, he has accumulated 32 receptions for 513 yards and six touchdowns as a senior.
Stinson originally committed to UCLA in June, but changed direction after the firing of head coach Deshaun Foster. After decommitting from UCLA, Stinson picked up a variety of offers, including Tulane, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Illinois and Iowa.
Roughly one month after Iowa offered Stinson, he committed to the Hawkeyes.
Iowa has picked up some notable pieces on the offensive side of the ball in the 2026 class recently. In the last two weeks, the Hawkeyes have landed four-star quarterback Tradon Bessinger, four-star in-state tight end Luke Brewer and now Stinson.
Stinson is the third wide receiver in Iowa’s 2026 class, joining fellow Florida product Diondre Smith and Winneconne, Wisconsin’s Brody Schaffer.
