Iowa football is reportedly hiring Todd McShane as its new director of scouting, per CBS Sports’ Chris Hummer.
McShane arrives in Iowa City after having most recently served as the director of player personnel at Oregon State. McShane’s career includes Big Ten stops at both Nebraska and Northwestern.
A 2011 graduate of Oregon State, McShane started his career as an administrative intern at Oregon State in 2011. He had previously been a student equipment manager at Oregon State.
McShane was promoted to assistant director of player personnel before leaving Corvallis, Ore., to serve as Nebraska’s assistant director of player personnel. McShane would be promoted to associate director of player personnel throughout his stint in Lincoln, Neb.
McShane then served as Northwestern’s director of recruiting for its offense. Then, McShane returned to Oregon State as the Beavers’ director of player personnel.
