As part of their annual partnership with the University of Iowa Health Stead Family Children’s Hospital, Iowa football revealed its list of Kid Captains for the 2026-27 season on Monday, Aug. 3.
The special partnership between the Iowa football program and the Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which started in 2009, honors pediatric patients by celebrating and highlighting their incredible stories throughout the season as they receive care for their various medical conditions.
According to Monday’s announcement, this year’s Kid Captains roster includes 12 total names assigned to the following games:
As Iowa football’s Kids Day at Kinnick is set for Saturday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. CT, the Hawkeyes can barely contain their excitement to meet the 2026 Kid Captains.
