An investigation is underway in the death of a 3-year-old boy in Bondurant, according to a news release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
On Saturday, June 28, at 2:30 p.m., deputies and Bondurant EMS responded to a report of an unresponsive child in the 3400 block of Hawthorn Drive Southwest in Bondurant. Officials unsuccessfully attempted to revive the child.

The Polk County Sherriff’s Office, the Polk County medical examiner and detectives are investigating the residence in what authorities are calling an isolated event.
Updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
