Field of Dreams fans get Budweiser beer aged with MLB bats

Baseball nostalgia hits differently in Dyersville, where the corn rises like cathedral walls and the “Field of Dreams” diamond still feels half myth, half dream.

Just as the Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies are about to meet on the fabled diamond on Aug. 13, Budweiser is leaning straight into the romance this year with Beechwood Reserve, a limited-edition lager aged on MLB-authenticated Marucci bats. It’s the kind of stunt that only works in Iowa, where Kevin Costner still wanders in for a game and the Twins and Phillies will step onto a movie-set-turned ballpark.

Budweiser, never one to miss a moment of Americana, decided to brew something that literally tastes like baseball.

Budweiser Beechwood Reserve is aged on MLB-authenticated bats made from the same beechwood the brewery uses in its aging process. It’s a clever little loop: the wood that makes Budweiser taste like Budweiser also makes the bats that make baseball into baseball. The result is a lager with a whisper of ballpark romance, the kind of beer you drink while imagining a ghost player stepping out of the corn.

A pop‑up brewhouse in the corn

Fans heading to Dyersville can try the beer at the game or inside the Beechwood Brewhouse, Budweiser’s custom fan experience built just for this event. It’s part tasting room, part nostalgia trip, part brand flex — and very much designed for Instagram.

Highlights for 21+ fans include:

The ComBar, a 10-ton mobile bar built from a real combine harvester, will be at the game. Think of this as Budweiser’s rolling love letter to the farmers who grow the barley and hops behind every bottle. It’s touring the country, with a special stop in Dyersville for the game.

Limited release across Iowa

If you can’t make it to the game, Budweiser Beechwood Reserve will be available in limited quantities across Iowa, as well as in Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
