Clear Creek Amana softball player McKenna Kelley and baseball player Robert Meade were voted by readers as the Press-Citizen’s Athletes of the Week for June 30-July 6.
Kelley won girls Athlete of the Week with 51% of the vote.
Kelley patrolled the circle during CCA softball’s 11-0 win over Solon in game two of the doubleheader on July 2. The senior pitcher threw four scoreless innings and limited the Spartans to two hits and two walks.
Meade won boys Athlete of the Week with 43% of the vote.
Meade totaled a team-high four RBIs during CCA baseball’s 19-9 win over Solon on July 3. The senior also tallied four runs, two hits and a home run.
