Ames Pridefest is returning to its downtown festival grounds on National Coming Out Day.

Pridefest will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at the corner of Fifth Street and Douglas Avenue. There will also be several post-Pride events.
Ames Pridefest is held in the fall to allow Iowa State students and staff a better opportunity to attend the festivities, according to the Ames Pridefest website.
“We’re counting down the days til Pridefest 2025, and our schedule is jam packed, from educational events in the library to performers on stage to 70+ festival vendors,” Ames Pride stated in a Facebook post.

The Pridefest vendor fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fifth and Douglas, with the Ames Pride Stage hosting performances throughout the day.
