DEBARTOLO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER — University of Notre Dame, will offer the following films this week in Browning Cinema. For more information on each item go to performingarts.nd.edu/event/:

ANNE LINDBERG: AT THE EDGE OF THE SEA — The Moreau Gallery presents the exhibit “At the Edge of the Sea” by Anne Lindberg from Jan. 23 through Feb. 26. Lindberg grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is currently a visual artist living and working in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has exhibited nationally at galleries and museums. Moreau Gallery, Moreau Center for the Arts at Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, is open Mondays-Thursdays. 9 to 5 p.m. and Friday by appointment.
“FAUSTUS” — The Magic Theatre will present the world premiere of “Faustus” by David Mamet. The play centers around the classic tale of a man wrestling with the ultimate stakes of knowledge and ambition. “Faustus” runs Jan. 30 and 31 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. (all times Central) at the Holdcraft Performing Arts Center, 1200 Spring St., Michigan City. SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY’S ‘HAPPY HOUR’ — The “Happy Hour” series is back for the season. Enjoy the String Quintet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at Hammer and Quill, 613 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend. Enjoy light hor d’oeuvres, two drink tickets and live music for $35. Reservations held at the door. No physical ticket will be issued. Keep receipt of purchase for your records. CHILI TOUR — Find more than 20 ways to chase away the winter chill during the annual Chili Tour from 5 to 8 p.m. Jan. 30 in downtown St. Joseph. For a $5 fee, obtain a map and head out to participating businesses and restaurants, sample their chili, and vote for your favorite. Maps available at the St. Joe Today Welcome Center, 301 State St., St. Joseph, from noon to 7:45 p.m. Jan. 30. Maps will also be available for purchase at The Market, 301 Main St., St. Joseph, from 5 to 7:45 Jan. 30.

NIGHT SKIING — Ski by the light of glowing luminaries. Warm up by the outdoor campfire with a hot drink and treat at the Manion Cabin from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 30. NIGHT SNOW TUBING — On Jan. 30 from 6 to 10 p.m., grab some friends, dress warm and experience the thrill of snow tubing under the stars. St. Patrick’s County Park offers multiple supervised lanes and canvas-covered snow tubes with plastic bottoms and handles. Meet at the Brown Barn in the park, 50651 Laurel Road, South Bend. Sleds and toboggans are not permitted. Not recommended for children 3 years of age or younger. Cost: $5 per person. Regular gate fees in effect.
WINTER NIGHTS AT DR. LAWLESS PARK — Head out Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 and 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. and have some winter fun outdoors. Go tubing (no toboggans or snow boards), cross-country skiing, fat-tire bicycle riding, arts and crafts, star gazing demonstration, fires to warm up by, and concessions available for purchase. Admission is $3 per person or two canned goods per person. Winter Nights are weather permitting with snow. Dr. Lawless Park is located at 15122 Monkey Run St., Vandalia.
WINTER WATERFOWL IDENTIFICATION — Community members are invited to take part in this workshop designed to help participants, ages 12 and older, to identify ducks, geese and swans commonly found during the winter months. The workshop will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Jan. 31 at Rieth Interpretive Center, 410 W. Plymouth Ave, Goshen, then to Fidler Pond for the outdoor portion. Learn key identification techniques, seasonal differences in plumage and tips for distinguishing similar-looking species. Bring binoculars if you have them; some will be available at the workshop. No registration is required. Co-hosted by Elkhart County Parks, Goshen City Parks and Goshen Department for Environmental Resilience. ANDREWS UNIVERSITY WIND SYMPHONY — The Wind Symphony will host its winter concert in collaboration with the Southwestern Michigan College Brass Band on Jan. 31. The two ensembles will present “A British Winter’s Night” at 8 p.m. showcasing a collection of traditional English pieces. Tickets are $8.50, students and seniors, $6.50 and can be purchased at howard.andrews.edu. The concert will be held at the Howard Performing Arts Center, 4160 E. Campus Circle Drive, Berrien Springs.
SOUTH BEND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA — The orchestra welcomes clarinetist Anthony McGill as it features Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6. The program includes “Shine Time,” Clarinet Concerto and Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, “Pathetique.” Anthony McGill serves as principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Morris Performing Arts Center, 211 N. Michigan St., South Bend. SONGWRITERS-IN-THE-ROUND — As part of The Acorn’s “Acorn Anywhere: A Winter Series,” this concert features singer-songwriters Sadie Gustafson-Zook, Kylee Phillips and Emily Barnes as they take turns performing their original songs and sharing the stories behind them. The event will be held at the Vickers Theatre, 6 N. Elm St., Three Oaks, from 8 to 11 p.m. Jan. 31. “BE-SPOKEN” WITH EMORJA ROBERSON ’22 DMA — Conductor, vocalist and composer Emorja Roberson created this living work that adapts to the needs of society. It is a call to listen to the past, present and one another. Artists include HarRell Williams, Anthony Walker, Pastor Juandolyn Stokes, Chicago Bucket Boys and Chelauna Chin King with conductor Emorja Roberson. RESCHEDULED: OBLATES OF BLUES — One performance only at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1. Experience a night of music at The Acting Ensemble, 602 E. Mishawaka Ave., Mishawaka. Oblates of Blues is a Chicago-style blues band performing original work and cover songs from popular blues artists. As a bonus, the evening will also feature spoken words about the history of the blues. Doors open at 7 p.m. Pay what you can at the door.
POTAWATOMI ZOO WINTER DAYS — The zoo is open every Saturday and Sunday through March 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 500 S. Greenlawn Ave. Winter days are free for Potawatomi Zoo members and admission for non-members is discounted to $12 for adults and $10 for children. The zoo train will run when weather permits and tickets are $3 per person. Visitors can feed the giraffes inside the giraffe visitor center; tickets are $3 for two pieces of lettuce. Concessions will be available from The Lodge and, when weather permits, also from the Farmhouse Café. The gift shop will be open. The regular zoo season opens March 28.
