SOUTH BEND — For the second time this summer, the St. Joseph County Department of Health has issued an alert to a pool of West Nile virus-positive mosquitoes identified in the county.
The department announced Aug. 7 that infection-carrying mosquitoes were found in the northeast part of Clay Township near Granger.
In early July, the department announced West Nile-positive mosquitoes had been found in Portage Township.
