Zaya Price, Brandywine (Niles) girls basketball
The freshman scored 18 points in a win vs. New Buffalo Wednesday, March 4 and 15 vs. Buchanan Friday, March 6 as the Bobcats won their third consecutive MHSAA Division 3 district championship.
Chase Devine, Bremen boys basketball
The junior scored 28 points against LaVille Tuesday, March 3, 16 points against South Bend Career Academy Friday and 24 against Jimtown Saturday, March 7 as the Lions won their first IHSAA Class 2A sectional championship since 1999.
Evelyn Travis, La Porte girls gymnastics
The junior won an individual IHSAA regional championship on the beam with a 9.450 score Saturday.
Josiah Mays, Marquette Catholic boys basketball
The junior scored 10 points against Tri-Township Wednesday, nine against Washington Township Friday and 24 against No. 1 Kouts Saturday as the Blazers won their second IHSAA Class 1A sectional championship in three years.
Terrance Lane Jr., Mishawaka Marian boys basketball
The senior hit six 3-pointers in a 22-point performance as the Knights beat Culver Academies in triple overtime to win an IHSAA 3A sectional championship Saturday. Lane poured in 12 in a semifinal victory vs. South Bend Washington Friday.
Elynne Hoyt, Niles girls basketball
The freshman scored 29 points in a win vs. Lakeshore Wednesday and 27 in a win vs. Berrien Springs Friday as the Vikings won their first MHSAA Division 2 district championship since 2018.
Brady Scholl, Northridge boys basketball
The senior Indiana Wesleyan commit put up 17 points, grabbed 17 rebounds and blocked seven shots against Goshen Friday and scored 15 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked five shots vs. Warsaw Saturday as the Raiders won their first IHSAA 4A sectional championship since 2020.
Caleb Coolman, Penn boys basketball
The sophomore scored 18 points in a win vs. Michigan City Wednesday and 16 in a loss to South Bend Riley Friday as the Kingsmen’s season ended at 18-7.
Jarvis Tolbert Jr., South Bend Adams boys basketball
The senior scored 25 points in a win vs. Mishawaka Tuesday and 20 in a loss to South Bend Saint Joseph Friday in the final week of his high school career.
Tyrese Jones, South Bend Riley boys basketball
The senior scored 17 points in a win vs. La Porte Wednesday, 23 in a win vs. Penn Friday and nine in a loss to South Bend Saint Joseph Saturday in the final week of his high school career.
Ryder Place, South Bend Saint Joseph boys basketball
The senior scored 21 points in a win vs. South Bend Adams Friday and nine points in a win vs. South Bend Riley Saturday as the Huskies won an IHSAA 4A sectional championship for the first time.
Michael Stuckey, South Bend Washington boys basketball
The junior scored 20 points in a win vs. John Glenn Tuesday and nine in a loss to Mishawaka Marian Friday.
Jayden Overmyer, Triton boys basketball
The senior scored eight points in a win vs. Trinity Academy Tuesday, 22 points in a win vs. Argos Friday and 21 points in a win vs. South Central Saturday as the Trojans won a second straight IHSAA Class 1A sectional championship.
