After years of debate, of steps forward and steps back, South Bend seated a Community Review Board that began its work of police oversight earlier this year.
So how are things going? And what are some of the challenges and goals for this fledging board? The Tribune will host a virtual discussion of these and other issues next week.

“Tribune Talk: South Bend Community Review Board” begins Tuesday at 6 p.m. on the Tribune’s Facebook page.
Panelists will include Cheryl Ashe, a review board member; Bob Masters, the review board’s attorney; Canneth Lee, president of the South Bend Common Council, which passed the ordinance that created the review office; Joshua Morgan, president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #36; and Lori Hamann, a former council member who co-sponsored the ordinance.
