RICHMOND, IN — A Richmond woman who attacked her mother has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison.
Angelrae Paige Wiley, 34, had pleaded guilty to domestic battery, a Level 6 felony, which carried a maximum 30-month sentence. She was sentenced on Monday, April 13, by Wayne Circuit Court 2 Judge Gregory Horn.
Under the terms of a plea agreement, two other charges — robbery resulting in bodily injury and criminal confinement — were dismissed.
Wiley was arrested in February 2025 after she was accused of repeatedly punching her mother in the face, wrestling her to the floor, taking her cell phone and then standing up and placing her foot on the 64-year-old victim’s stomach.
Richmond police said the mother told them she and her daughter had been arguing when the older woman threatened to call police.
Officers said the mother also had small puncture wounds in her right calf, perhaps inflicted with a fork.
Wiley told police her mother had started the altercation.
She was given credit for 379 days already spent in the Wayne County Jail.
The Richmond woman had earlier convictions for possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of a syringe and resisting law enforcement.
