SOUTH BEND —The last time Notre Dame football’s offensive line faced Texas A&M’s ferocious front, the Irish did so with six combined career starts to open the 2024 season.
This time around, the number is 57 through the season-opening loss at Miami.
Notre Dame’s official injury report remained unchanged ahead of Saturday’s 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Per the Irish, all players listed on this week’s two-deep depth chart are available vs. the Aggies.
Right guard remains an either/or proposition after first-time starter Guerby Lambert and Sullivan Absher both struggled against the Hurricanes. In Saturday’s pregame warmups, Lambert appeared to have the upper hand as he took first-team reps alongside starting right guard Aamil Wagner.
Lambert, a redshirt freshman, gave up just one pressure in 18 pass sets but still garnered a painfully low pass-blocking grade of 2.4 from Pro Football Focus.
Absher, a third-year reserve who replaced Lambert for multiple series in the second half, had a 29.8 pass-blocking grade despite allowing the ratio of pressures (1) to pass sets (18).
