Indiana Conservation Officers recovered a body from from Lake Monroe on Thursday, July 30,
The person was reported missing to Indiana conservation officers on Wednesday, July 29, according to Conservation Officer Trevor Sager. The person was last seen late Sunday, July 26, or early Monday morning, Sager said.
The person’s cellphone was found in the parking lot near Two Herons Marina in Cutright State Recreation Area. The body was recovered on Thursday, also near Two Herons Marina.
Conservation officers located and removed the person’s 1999 Ford F-150 pickup from the lake near the marina on Friday, July 31.
Sager said officers do not believe there was any foul play involved in the death. The investigation into the death is ongoing, he said.
Monroe County coroner Jeff Hall said he is investigating the death and an autopsy had been scheduled to determine cause and manner of death. The identity of the deceased individual is still being determined as well, he said in an email.
