Indiana Pacers All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton and his college sweetheart, Jade Jones, celebrated their marriage Saturday with a lavish reception and an assist from rapper 50 Cent, who performed “I Get Money” as Haliburton and Jade danced and sang along to the lyrics, which repeated, “I run New York.”
The song was, as social media took it, a nod to the Pacers’ 4-2 win over the Knicks in the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals and the team’s 4-3 victory the season before against New York in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Haliburton, wearing black pants, a white shirt and black bow tie, jumped on stage with 50 Cent as Jade, wearing a white dress and black sunglasses, joined in.
Haliburton and Jones became a couple in 2019 as students at Iowa State where Haliburton spent two seasons on the basketball team and Jones was a cheerleader.
When it came time for a marriage proposal, Haliburton chose to do it center court at Iowa State’s Hilton Coliseum.
Haliburton requested the lights in the arena be turned off with letters lit up half court spelling out “Will You Marry Me” with rose petals in front of the letters.
After the proposal, Haliburton posted: “The place where our story started and where our next chapter begins.”
Last month, Haliburton and Jade were married in an official courthouse ceremony in Indianapolis with plans for the reception and celebration Saturday.
